    2008 X5 3.0 Sparkplug change

If you do a Sparkplug change are the coils required to be changed as well?

If you don't have any misfires, then no need to replace them. The Bosch coils are known to fail, and BMW began using a part from Delphi, and issued a service bulletin for cars that were still under warranty to replace all of them if one fails.

No, I work at a dealership, and only use BMW parts.
