Does anyone know which (if any) OE BMW Siemens/Tyco SPST relays are rated for greater than 30A? I've looked through the E36 ETK and Googled part numbers but I can't find any specifications/ratings for any of the OE relays.
I'm looking for an OE relay from any BMW that will fit a standard BMW socket, with a known rating of 40A or 50A.
I can only guess at the relay ratings by looking at which relay is on which circuit and looking to see the size of the fuse on that circuit. I think the common SPST mint-green 6136-8-373-700 is a 30A relay, but I haven't found any documentation to support that guess.
What in your car needs a relay capable of handling more than 30 amps? Try www.mouser.com.
It's an engine swap and I have several switched circuits that I'd prefer to run through a common ignition-switched relay. 30A is probably adequate, but for peace of mind, I'd like a larger relay. I'm utilizing a standard BMW socket.
I'm familiar with Mouser, thanks.
