2008 E61 Won't start

I have a 2008 E61 wagon with a manual transmission. Last night when I came out of work the car wouldn't start. The car does not have the comfort access key so this has the rechargeable battery. The FOB has been weak, but always functional. The car is my daily driver, so the key is in the ignition for at least 30 min a day. The battery is charged (jumper pack made no difference). No dash lights come on at all. The only thing that works is the radio, dome lights, head lights if cycled. When I put the key in, the start button lights up, but nothing else happens. The buttons on the key no longer do anything. The only way to lock/unlock the doors is with the hard key in the door or the button on the dash. I only have the one key as the previous owner lost one. Everything worked fine in the morning and on my way to work, but after work... nothing. It was raining yesterday, so I looked in the spare tire well in case that flooded. I saw no signs of moisture.

Any thoughts?

I am in a real bind as I just called the stealer and they don't have any openings for 2.5 weeks. How is that considered service?

This isn't something you can fix yourself unless you have electrical knowledge and tools. The only thing you can really do as a diyer is check every fuse you can get to. You need electrical diagrams for this one. The process is to pick one faulty circuit, say, the instrument cluster, and diagnose that and it will fix the rest. This is typical of a bad relay, wire/corrosion, bad ground, bad module etc... If you have the right wiring diagrams see what the common power/ground or module is to all the dead circuits.
