Lawd!!!
yes...lawd....
if this car is new to you, then enjoy the read..its very special. its well known in the z coupe world.
I mean, if it doesn't sell I'll be alright too, but it's not getting driven like it needs to be. My loss is someone else's gain. But I would be content knowing it was blasting down some beautiful roads or race tracks somewhere...
One incredible car. Glws, wish I could figure out how to get this in my garage!

Hmm hold onto it long enough, I'll get it for myself for birthday present haha. Honestly seriously considering but I also want a new daily. Not sure what i'll go with yet then i could revisit this if it's around. there will be garage space
is there a build thread somewhere for this car?
Nope, I never got around to putting a build thread together but I have all the documentation & pictures. But if you have any specifics you would like to know please ask. It's been a lot of fun owning & building this Coupe but I'm ready to sell. All reasonable offers considered...

GLWS. Have you got any more info on the clutch we are using?
Its holding quite well for an organic disc?
It's a great clutch, soft pedal pressure, as easy to modulate as stock. 8.5 lbs flywheel. But probably not rated for the 500 ft/lbs of torque in stage two mode.

I asked Mike R for a burnout before he shipped it out. And here you go:

Hi Ed! I see that Weldcraft widened the wheels on your ex-car. I’m looking to do the exact same thing on my M Coupe and was wondering if you have the specifications of how your wheels were modified. You mentioned the final widths, but are you able to provide where the extra width was added to the fronts and the rears? I’d like to have the front and rear lips widened as part of the process.
Thanks a bunch!
I added 1.5" inches to the inside lip on the fronts. And 2" inches to the inside lip of the rears. I then added spacers to bring the wheels out flush. It works. It's fairly cheap.
But the better alternative is to purchase a set of SuperStars from Jonesmechanical.
Thanks for your prompt response! Greg and I had been communicating and he stated that your wheels had been widened from both sides (the inside barrel and the outer lip), giving you perfect fitment without spacers. Was all widening done to the inside of the front and rear wheels, and still required spacers?
Yes, I only widened the inside lips only.
Buy Greg's wheels instead.
Jones mechanical ended up with the car?
Greg’s Superstars are a thing of the past and not readily available. To put another batch into production he’s projecting at least $7k/set, for a set of wheels that if I ever need a replacement, I would be at the mercy of a company taking as long as they want and charging whatever they want - both big no-nos for me.
I’m going to venture into widening stockers (I own 3 full sets), and I will be working with the outer lips as part of the project, not just the inner lips.
Thank you for your prompt responses Ed!
