FL: FS - TRM Coilovers (track/street) + Camber Plates

    SOLD

These came on an e36 I purchased last year and were immediately pulled off and replaced with MCS. Per the previous owner, spring rates are 670F/895R. I don't know how many miles these have on them, but I would expect them to need a rebuild for track duty. $450, prefer a local sale but willing to look into shipping at buyer's expense. Located in Tampa.

FYI I'm pretty confident these are in need of a rebuild... and I have no idea what that process is like with TMR.

    Bump.

I'd like to add some info. TRM is not out of business. They seem to be shifted on professional motorsports and other projects, but they still offer many of their products and services.

I have these coilovers on my car and have had them for about 5 years. They still work great as their service intervals are supposed to be quite long, like a Bilstein... depending on use 75k+ miles could be doable. If they're not visibly leaking or seeping oil from the seals (they look fairly dry) I'd wager to guess they may be ok. And for $450 a bargain. Consider these something like an MCS/JRZ-lite. Not many shocks you can buy out there for this price that can handle 450#-1200# spring rate range. They're easy to setup right out of the box as they're single adjustable 16 step. They're built around 670/895 rates, and the recommended starting rate. They're quite streetable with these springs and what I've been running since day 1, they had alot of development and were built specific for E36. Not an off-the shelf shock insert plugged into an E36 strut tube.

These are I think a later version of their development in design. They do not have sway-bar collars for E36 M3 bar. They have bottom adjusters on rear shocks and I think early batch had a thinner camber plate. You'll have to run a thicker non-m swaybar with non-M swaybar links that connect to the control arms.

I believe these coilovers could be rebuilt by any shock services shop that can do JRZ monotubes if memory serves correctly. I have heard of at least a couple of companies that have serviced these. I believe Fortune Auto could, MCS probably, maybe Anze. But to be sure, I'd just send an email to TRM as I believe they could at least point you in the right direction and provide any information on rebuild (IF they need it).

Thank you for the clarification. there's not much on TRM coilovers and the design

No problem. The ad for them is still up even though they aren't sold anymore. They were built in batches and I guess at some point the demand just wasn't there to continue to produce them. They were a great all in one kit for the money though. I'd recommend them for $450, even if they need to be rebuilt ($500-600?) they'll be better than anything in the price-range if you're looking for a performance coilover kit. I have had absolutely 0 issues and have over 35k miles on mine.

Let me know if I can answer any more questions.

Appreciate the detailed info. I know virtually zero about these (which is probably pretty obvious )
