I have a driveshaft from a 1986 535 manual, and one from a 1990 535 auto. The 1986 has a new center support bearing and the one from the 1990 may need a new cv joint.
I also need an e34 diff for my 535 the 3.91 makes first gear useless after the manual swap. If by some chance someone wants both of these driveshafts I'd trade for an e34 diff with a lower ratio open or lsd.
I have a 3.46 medium case diff from my '86 635 (150K or so). Open diff, new seals all around. I would let it go for $100 (local pickup - Atl). Normal wear, no issues. I went with even lower ratio with V8 transplant.
I happen to have a 3.23 lsd that has the input and output flanges on it to bolt into a 535i/5 e34. I swapped a 3.46 lsd into my car and had to swap flanges between the two diffs. I have oil analysis records for the diff as well as dates and mileages of last fluid changes. It makes no sounds and locks pretty well.
