Relocate Knock Sensors? BMW 545i N62

Hello everyone, I made an error when I replaced the valley pan on my 05 545i. I believe somehow the knock sensors wire on the driver side got caught between a bolt and shorted it out. I found it after I put everything back together. I got the P1332 knock sensor 4 code.

For me to open the intake again it will be very challenging to do all that work again to replace knock sensors.

Is there any way I can relocate the knock sensors on top of the engine, around the intake manifold? I have seen guys have done it for other vehicles like nissan and chevy. All I would need is new knock sensors and wires and hook up the connector.

Haha yes! definitely learned a lesson. In theory the relocation can work. Wasn't sure if someone else tried before

Sure but in the end it would just be easier to fix it correctly, you would spend way to much time doing figuring it out. It just part of the learning curve

Taking the intake off the N62 is very easy. why not just fix it correctly.
