    E36 wheel fitment

Hi, what would be a good 17 or 18 fitment for an E36 on lowering springs (might go coilovers in the future)? Preferably bolt on fitment, without fender roll.

    Hi,

look at the E36 sections of all forums and look at pictures of E36 with these size wheels and check their diameter and offset and more technical info for the style of wheels you like and have budgeted for. If you thinking to go quite low in the future, take that into account as well. There's many many wheels to choose from and range from ones which look absolutely sublime to ones that look very very bad.

    Cheers, Dennis!

definetely, there's a lot to choose from. will have to do some scouting. was thinking 17x8 on 225s and offset 35-40. should be ok with coilovers from what ive read.

    Hi,

If I had an E36, I'd fit 19's and lower it so that it isn't 'too' low but makes the wheels/tyres blend into the chassis proportions nicely. Look up pictures of the E36's that Hartge did and you'll see what I mean. That's just me though ! 17/18's is what most owners fit and there's a ton of pictures with spec's listed over all the forums / social media platforms.

    Cheers, Dennis!

19s do look good on e36 for sure, especially with bola b15 type wheels. am so confused, i need to do some more research lol, really want to go staggered with some wide wheels and maybe lower some more.

I love when you can fill a wheel well with a wheel and tire perfectly but man I've ran 18s for 10 years. I couldn't imagine 19s....that would have to require math id suppose to get it right?

17s to me are way to small the 18s I've thought were perfect with the right suspensions set up. But i have been told the 17s provide way better handling.
