Hi All,
I would like to update my 1998 e38 to bluetooth and aux in, I've found devices like GROM USB3
https://gromaudio.co.uk/products/gro...n-kit-652.html
but am unable to connect them up because I have the older CD changer which has 13pin and 3pin going into the back of it. I do not have DSP either so cannot connect up via the mini coax.
I am also unable to go in through the back of the centre console because I have a 4:3 navigation monitor (I have read that there are Yatour products which can plug into the back of the radio module)
I have very little car electrical knowledge so really am looking for a 'plug and play' type approach.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
I’d contact GROM to see if they make a device for your car’s set up.
I've tried that with no luck, just been reading about the Yatour YT M07 as a possible solution
http://www.vcarlink.com/eacp_view.asp?id=81
It looks like its compatible with e38 4:3 Navigation...problem is I have not idea how to fit it....if anyone has experience of fitting this please send me a link.
Cheers
Hi,
Take the car to a local reputable and established car audio installer and ask them to fit it. It's possible such a specialist won't fit low quaiity/generic products from China. If so, contact a local auto electrician or another car audio installer to see if they'll fit it.
Cheers, Dennis!
Yep, it looks like its going to be a trip to the local car audio shop.
Thanks for the thoughts guys...I half guessed this was going to be possible.
Cheers
That looks like a viable solution. Good find.
