    FYI Check Your Firewall Wiring Loom

    While installing my new Heater Control Valve I noticed a hose rubbing on the large wiring loom and it had rubbed through the tape/covering so that the wires themselves were exposed. Luckily all the wires were intact. FYI.

    when doing new manifold gaskets some months ago i have seen exactly the same issue. ( '91 850i)
