Pleasant surprise! Maybe it's worth keeping.

As I've posted, this is my first E36. I finally got around to decoding the vin. What!? I have an 325is! Decoder says I should have a LSD. So I go out and jack up the car and yup, limited slip!
The car came with M Sport suspension which has been swapped to $200 ebay coilovers. It also came with electric, heated, sport seats that have been swapped for the standard manual seats.

I've been looking at ads for an E36 M3 and have been debating with myself on keeping and making it nice. Now I might just keep it. Since it was free, I think I'm off to a decent start.

    My dog broke the mirror.

It looks like a nice base for a project. Got to love the lsd. I would paint the exterior molding black again (SEM trim paint) or find M3 moldings and install them. And since you have the electric harnesses and seat heater switches/relays, you can swap in later style sport seats from a M3 part out or another IS. I actually prefer the manual seats since the plastic gears are prone to breaking on the electric motors and the seats are heavier.

The trim is the other thing that pisses me off. PO just rattle canned it without masking. There is/are overspray and runs all over the paint.

Is there a way to Frankenstein sport seat bottoms and backs onto the manual frames? Seems ideal. I've never found electric seats to be all that more convenient. Heaters would be nice, though.

There are Vader seats that were manual adjustment with heat. That could be a compromise.

My manual sport seats are heated, might be easier to find than vaders
