The business unit stereo when switched on POPS off. Then comes back on again and POPS off again. When I purchased the car the fuses were removed. Unable to contact previous keeper to ask why. I replaced the 7.5 and 30 fuses and when it POPs off the fuses do not blow. Any ideas??

Are you saying the radio comes on then switches off then switches on then finally switches off....
I would first check the amp in the battery well.... it’s possible that the amp is potentially water damaged leading the radio to attempt to switch the amp on and finally switching off when it won’t. Check for water marks on the amp.
I’ve an ‘04 so am familiar with the placement of the amp. Any water ingress to the trunk...spilled water etc will eventually find its way to the battery well. I drilled a small hole through the plastic under the amp to ensure anything spilled/leaked doesn’t pool...
Depending on whether you have the high end Carver 10 speaker unit or not... there are two versions of amp... expensive and insanely expensive. I have the high end DSP Amp which was about $1200 CDN new with taxes. The “normal” amp is half that price.
You can check with eBay etc for availability but hifi DSP amp is likely not available. See below for how to get part number for replacement amps...
You should check your VIN with a VIN decoder to see what your car is equipped with...
https://bimmercat.com/bmw/EN/vin/decoder/online (last 7 digits)
Check on realoem.com or BMW fans.info with same 7 digits to see part number of head unit /amp compatible replacements.
Head unit on non DSP systems can be replaced with non BMW radio ... HiFi DSP (Carver 10 speaker system) can’t be replaced with non BMW radio... Lots of posts on this. Google is your friend here...
Hope this helps with trying to isolate your issue.

I will take a look at the amp. Strange, the noise it makes sounds horibble (pop)I would sooner listen to the engine anyway but.....
