Well while trying to stupidly short a window switch to see if it would open the passenger window I caused a spark and lost power to all my windows.
I checked all the fuses in the hood and all are good
I looked under steering wheel and cannot find another fuse box.
Here is an image of the hood fuse box which is the only one I found also an image of the wires I shorted . Any suggestions?

power window fuses are 12 and 13 in front power distribution box, see fuse details 1992 ETM. https://www.bmwtechinfo.com/etm/data/e36/e36_92.pdf
but here it shows fuse 14 30A: Driver's side power window module (to 8/93), Passenger's side power window module (to 8/93), ZKE control unit (ZKE IV; as of 9/93) http://knigaproavto.ru/shemy/en/bmw/...x-diagram.html
Any other items not working?
Also check the fusible link in the red wire from battery in the trunk , pics I posted here https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/s...328is-No-Start

I specifically checked fuse 12, 13 and 14 but they are all good. I looked in the trunk and removed the carpet but cannot find the link fuse, I do see the red smaller wire running parallel with the big red wire but didn't see a fuse.
Any other suggestions.
Everything else works, sunroof, lights etc but not the windows
I've been reading around, do you guys think I might have burnt the comfort relay? Son e my sunroof works I am thinking this might be the issue
The fusible link is inline in the red wire coming from the battery, hidden in shrink wrap. Check the wire, where it gets thicker and there is shrink wrap, that is the fusible link.
Of course you could also have damaged the comfort relay.

thanks I will take the bottom part of the dash out this weekend and test those relays out.
I did see the shrink wrap part, so I am guessing I have to cut the shrink wrap, or can I just check voltage before and after shrink wrap by piercing into cable with my voltimeter?
You have to check the fuses electronicly, not by looking at them. If there is power to the sunroof, then there would be enough power to operate lights and seats. You probably burnt the switches or the fuse or a contact piont in the circuit.
Nobody would recertify these machines after somebody screwed with them without any visibility into what they did.

I did check them with a continuity tester and all were good, cheched the fuse link near battery and was good too. I am thinking it's the comfort relay, I removed it and my sunroof still works so apparently the comfort relay does not effect sunroof, I have one on order and will check out with an update.
BTW I did see video on testing relays and it helped testing other relays out, but the comfort relay is different, no wiring diagram on it and seems to be layed out differently
Sheet 5133.1-00 of the 1992 BMW NA ETM has a schematic of the ZVM (central locking module) comfort relay. Whether it is complete or a simplification, I do not know.
