OK guys so this is my question is it possible to connect, a steering wheel with audio control functions (and cruise control but that's irrelevant my car doesn't have it) to a car that originally didn't have it?
So my car is a E36 318tds compact (actually my first car) and supposedly when I bought it, the car already had aa e39 steering wheel (without the controls). I had already seen steering wheels with these functions and I wondered if it was possible to put it on my car?
I went to a car electrician and ask but they said no (they seem unwilling really)
I don't have the original radio it's a pioneer one, and is it possible to connect or not. :help
-that the one I want-
Yes, it is possible to make it work if your pioneer radio have the function.
You will need the proper wheel slip-ring and a pioneer adapter to accept commands from the BMW IBus wheel.
For a complete install (including the cruise control), here is a good start: https://www.bimmerforums.co.uk/forum...trofit-t74063/
This project is on my list, I already have the 3 spoke M wheel installed at the car and all others parts ready, but still need the wiring, too much work to make one from scratch...
