Ads interface wire up

Hi there!

I've got a little question, i already have an ads interface with rs232 connector. So now i'll like to convert it to usb.
I can only do this with the rs232 to usb cable and a virtual com port on my laptop, am i right? If i'm right, how can i setup my virtual port on the laptop?

Can't be done whilst keeping the full ADS interface, it requires a physical com port.

It's been tried for well over a decade now, save yourself the grief.
