    loose pitman arm?

I had the dreaded shuddering in my front end, and still do....

when I changed out my center link, steering arm and tie rods I found the pitman arm loose...so I re-torqued the pinchbolt, but it seems to still be loose. Could the splines be so worn that even when fully pinched it is still loose? can I remove it and grind some material from the slot that gets closed so it will pinch down farther?

I'm trying to eliminate everything before going to the steering box...

Splines could be worn but I doubt it. Inspection is key

I had a look today, there is plenty of pinch room, and it's tight once torqued down...looks like its steering box or above, I'll look above first...
