    Dead pedal solution

Has anyone out there figured out a solution to not putting their foot through the dead pedal plastic in their car? Track guys and autocrossers might remember when they started out using the dead pedal to keep them pinned back in the seat. Mine’s not broken yet but the plastic is so flimsy a couple more events and it will be ruined.
I don’t have any experience with the aluminum type you screw to the plastic one. Those seem to be pretty much for show, but I could be wrong. Do you all find that is enough to keep it from breaking?
I’m already locking the seatbelt and sliding the seat up to stay tight.

    Thanks!
