hello. my car its currently 132k miles 530i N52 engine. when coming to a complete stop it jerk, shifting from 2 to 1, and its make a whining noise when changing from 3-4, feels like slipping. so i bough the service kit from ZF, new pan with filter, new ZF oil, and the new rubber sleeves with the square one, now jerking from 2-1 to complete stop have decrease a lot but still present, and the whining noise(slipping) 3-4 continue a little less aggressive but there, and now i have the same noise 4-5, and if i hard accelerate it though a faulty transmission code, put INPA and reads 3-4 and 4-5 solenoids, even try to reset the adaptation but nothing seems to get it work.
so i know i need to buy new solenoids and work my way there again, but my questions its:
im not feeling like spending 350$ more on solenoids
Are those genetics solenoid being sold but 120-180$ any good? have anyone try them? seems like 6HP19 tranny are on a lot of cars, and if you search for solenoid with tranny code there are plenty.
all inputs are welcome. thanks
any one? i bough them already, then seems i will be the first trying them out, hope this post serve as reference for others people with same question, and the jerk on the tranmission when shifting from 2-1 its completely gone by now been around 50 miles drive already, 3-4 shift its getting better but 4-5 same
There are actually 6 rubber seals in there. The square one, the round one for the valve body connection and 4 smaller tubular ones above the valve body into the trans body. I replaced them all. I got my solenoids and seals from thectsc.com. They have a load of info and guides too. Original ZF parts. I have a thump when coming to a stop only rerely now. It goes away in a day.
As what plus2 said. Get the solenoid valve and parts from thectsc.com. I got my solenoids, separator plate from them. I replaced the plate and solenoid but turned out my 6HP21 tranny clutch linings were toast. Overheating and not changing gear to higher gears. You may have better luck with the problem being just the solenoids. Good luck.

I think I am going to do solenoids and seals as preventative maintenance on my 08 E61 535xi. I did seals and the pan/filter somewhere in the 90 to 100k range and am close to 160k miles now. I assume that if my trans lever can be pushed to the left for sport mode and manual shifting that I need the M Shift rather than the E Shift?
