Hi all,
Im new to the forum, but been a BM owner for a little while now, I've got an 53 E46 320d Touring and these are the details.
The comfort control module stopped working, so no remote central locking, no electric mirrors, no electric windows and no windscreen wipers (yes i checked all the fuses first), I've swapped out my module for a new OEM one and as soon as i plugged it in it made a high pitch continuous alarming/ beeping noise which can only be shut off by unplugging the module. I've tried plugging it into my "legitimate" IMPA software to diagnose it, but its not finding the issue, or i'm not looking in the right place.
I've tried unplugging the battery for about 20 minutes then plugging it back in, i've checked all the fuses and I've tried to diagnose it with IMPA, this is both with the ignition turned on and also turned off but no joy regardless.
Plot twist, I plugged the original back in and this does exactly the same thing now as the new one, continuous alarming/ beeping.
Has anyone come across this before, or got any bright ideas, I've pretty much run out... except for accepting defeat and taking it to a BMW specialist.
Cheers for any help
