e36 - Coolant leak after replaced expansion tank

    hey doods.. 97 318i m44 5spd.

xpansion tank blew out a few weeks ago and i finally got aorund to swapping it out with a behr tank from FCP with a new O ring. Swapped that gem too but the tank still leaks at the seam where it sits into the radiator.

Any ideas? Does this thing take serious force to shove in? I get it to clip, but once you fill the tank about 2" from bottom it just ooozes out. Or does it have to be completely dry before putting the tank in?

    Else I tried 2 different o rings.

    thoughts concerns? stuffs?

Many thanks in advance before I buy a new tank and/or just get a radiator. Also side note: this is my play car, its not worth much to me just a fun toy, i'm kinda cheap with it.

Looks like there might be an upgraded design with a double o-ring at the bottom, but you should be 100% sure it's compatible. Is it possible that your radiator is damaged? If you try another o-ring be sure it's another brand, we can get crap parts from these suppliers sometimes.
