I'm looking to get rid of my 530iT that I just picked up. I have too many other projects going on and don't have time to finish this.
This car is a really good foundation for someone looking to get into a 530iT that's already manual swapped and has had a bunch of common E34 problems addressed. The car has 226K on it and has had a slew of recent maintenance. It doesn't need much to get it where I wanted. I have a huge stack of maintenance records for the car as well.
The car needs a rear bumper, a PDR guy, and interior love. Interior is typical for E34s, sagging door panels, sunroof headliner not there, etc.
Price: $3K*
Location: 46013
*This price includes a set of Italian Style 37 reps (need tires)
Pros:
* Paint shines up nice
* Rust free!!
* New V-rated tires with less than 10,000 miles on them on the factory wheels
* New clutch put in about 20,000 miles ago
* Clutch pedal rebuilt, plus new master cylinder, slave cylinder done about 3,000 miles ago
* Rebuilt shifter linkage and short throw shifter
* Throttle pedal rebuilt
* New Front strut inserts done about 20,000 miles ago
* New refurbished A/C compressor, blower motor resistor, and blower motor
* Front brakes and rotors replaced under 10,000 miles ago
* new valve cover gaskets
* new water pump, thermostat, upper radiator hose, secondary water pump
* New plugs, coil and a bunch of other "tune up" related items
Cosmetic Cons:
* Dent in passenger quarter. Should be easy for a PDR guy to pop out
* Rear bumper is shot. Found another for $100, should be a straightforward swap.
* Small crack in front plastic bumper trim.
* Weird paint chip on hood
Mechanical Cons:
* Small coolant drip. Cooling system was already refreshed, one small drip left to diagnose. I'm not even sure if it's a leak, may just be leftover from when cooling system was done.
* Sunroof inop
* Other small stuff I'm sure, it's an E34

Nice car, should be easy to sell
This one looks pretty solid, the paint is crisp and the euro headlights are cool. I've got a sale listing pending on my e34 530i calypso red sedan with 235,xxx miles that I drove up to then back down from Massachusetts after putting $4,500+ to keep it running tight these last 2 years at the BMW dealer, and around $4,000 during the 3 years before that between a private garage and the BMW dealer to keep it moving. What do ya'll think is a fair price for me to ask? I paid $3,300 and put around $9,000 between preventative maintenance, repairs, and oil changes over the years. Any feedback is appreciated, thanks!
And here's the link that isn't for editing my post, whoever did that, thanks, it was kinda funny and I'm sure took a bit of time, and I do like waffles, there's a cool episode of Teen Titans all about them. https://austin.craigslist.org/cto/d/...890764215.html

You probably shouldn’t post that link...... it’s to edit the ad. I would start your own FS thread.
Thanks for the feedback man! Haha someone from here edited the ad and made it all about waffles for some reason, then I received a string of increasingly dark and damning emails offering me all sorts of miscellanea for my car, including wife-swapping. I have put up my own FS thread it is just waiting for approval. Again thanks man, that was unintentional and led so some hilarity, and luckily no damage.
$2900
On the link, someone on here is apparently a child as they keep editing it with absurdities. This is meant to be a community and whomever is doing that is being a poor member. It has become annoying and I've pulled the craigslist ad, a waste of $5, my email is filling with garbage due to responses from the edits this person keeps making. First time, haha funny, second time, come on loser get a life, third time, not humorous anymore, this person has too much time and too little to do and thinks causing a member of the community bs is funny. I've contacted Craigslist.

I’m so sorry man, that’s insanely frustrating.
Good looking car, I wish I were inThe market for one. Glws!
Damn, you must live super close too. What other projects are you working on?
Nice! Hope that sale goes through
If you're working on a car, let me know. I'm always down to learn
