I wonder if that one will work I’ll ask! Maybe my search criteria was off but I didn’t see it there on eBay

Yesssssss! I’ll call you in a couple hours with some measurements to take too just to be sure.

This is for an n54 swap in my e36, so need to downgrade the flange size to match the e36 m3 driveshaft size

Hey guys so i think I misrepresented what I needed, but I think I'm one step closer.

BMW Part 23211282442 is the output flange for the E46 M3. I think this will work, but I need to know what the Tri-Prong Hole distance is between them. The ECS part link is here: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...e/23211282442/

If someone could take a quick measurement of the tri-prong hole distance that would be amazing. I'm looking for 2.8" +/-. I know they come in standard sizes, so that size is what I need. And yes this is for a ZF and my current output shaft is more like 3.5", so too big.

Thank you for all who respond!

Are you trying to connect an E90 335i GS6-53 to an E36 automatic driveshaft?

The ZF320 flange is 96mm; the GS6-53 flange is 105mm.

You might also be able to find the front half of a BMW driveshaft with the 105mm mating flange that will swap onto the rear half of an E36 driveshaft. Not sure which and some experimentation may be required.

Yes I’ve thought about swapping the front half driveshaft actually. An idea I’m keeping on the back burner for sure while I still keep on looking for the ideal flange.

I am going to now take the front half of my e92 335xi driveshaft and see if it makes the the back half of the e36 m3 auto driveshaft.

In the meaning I did buy an eBay e46 m3 flange . Should bolt on to the GS6-53. Standby as I make more progress!

Let us know about the E46M3 flange bolting into the GS6-53. I think the input shafts differ in spline count but don’t know about the output. I think the E46M3 flange diameter is the same 96mm as the ZF320 so it if fits the GS6-53, it will mate to a later E36 driveshaft (early Getrag 250 shafts had a smaller front flange), but you still need a shorter overall length like maybe from an automatic E36 or some other BMW.
