So its parked indoors in a pretty nice car park for 6 months, besides replacing the battery should I go ahead to fog the cylinders?
I read somewhere that I can use a socket wrench to turn the engine so I don't need to fog the engine.
What would you guys suggest?
I asked a mechanic and he basically said I don't have to do anything.
Thanks for your kind attention

fog oil isnt for running engines, its for storing engine parts. but no, you dont have to oil anything for a car that sat for 6 months. not even on cars that sat for a year. not on cars that sat for 2 years without any extenuating circumstance. the only time you use fog oil is when storing engine components. and you would wash the fog oil off before oiling them with oil or assembly lube. it should read on your fog can to never use as an oil replacement.
Nobody would recertify these machines after somebody screwed with them without any visibility into what they did.

Cool Thanks! So I'll just replace the battery and start as usual right?
If you really want to get anal about things, take the spark plugs out, drop a few ml of oil into each cylinder and turn the engine over by hand before trying to start it, but it isn't really necessary after 6 mo of sitting.

Thanks I guess I won't have to fog anything.
Maybe add some fuel stabilizer but I doubt that would do anything now. If the gas is junk you will just have to pull the pump cover and siphon it out and refill with fresh gas. Has happened to me on more than one occasion on projects that would sit for less than a year

Thanks Ill take the advice. It should be fine (touchwood) . shes always been 100% reliable so I try to take all the precautions i can take.
Thanks for understanding.
Next time, add fuel stabilizer before storing. Put the battery on a float charger if you can, if not maybe look into a solar panel float charger.
