my dream car 325i-89 0_o now what

I am pretty sure my E30 has a lot of problems with it ... I just don’t know what 0_o

I am a n00b to this all! So I need your help !

I did the oil change & waiting to get my steering reservoir + lines to do a full replacement of it

Also, changing n washing my coolant ..

I also just bought the Bosh spark plugs... n the cover gasket...

Is their any other common problems that this series has ? Or anything I should check up on it ?

I am 0_o a NoOb ... n know I can learn just need some guidance from my bimmerhood.

The car is Manual & a rebuilt engine .. not sure when it was done ... it runs perfectly but I feel like something is up ... I bought it off some guy that had “been working on it” for years. Drove past his lot & kept asking ... initially he wanted to sell it to me for 5k (2014) ... then I came back to town & guy still had it sitting in his lot collecting dust. Called him up & told him he wasn’t doing shit to it & prob won’t. He ended up selling it to me for 2k(2018).. i didn’t ask questions (my bad) but i had a good idea of what i was getting. He put a lot of love to it but lost interest over the years ..-as his shop got busy....

But I am here ... n I m watching all these you tube videos and feel proud that I was able to do a oil change & change my windshield wipers lol ...

I have all the tools needed, & order my parts through auto rocket...or rocket auto... forgot the name ...

But any suggestions?
On what I should do to ensure I keep my Carrito up n going

They say timing belt change is a must on the 325, as in don't drive it any more until it's replaced because if it fails your engine is shot. Also there are some great DiY and DIagnostic threads pinned to the top of the forum list. Good luck

I was about to say do the timing belt. that will for sure make you unhappy when it breaks because its expensive to fix.

but, you will really like the car. I had an 89 325i back in the day and it was such a great and fun car. regretted selling it the day I sold it.

I have never found a replacement that I enjoyed as much and its so hard to find a clean e30 that doesn't cost as much as a new car
