Koni Sport + H&R Sport spring bump stop.

How much do you trim the bump stop? Do you trim the top or bottom?

Did not trim mine, however the bottom has a ‘rib’ that indexes in the Dust Shield (missing in your photo), so the top portion gets trimmed away. I would trim at the notch.

According to H&R, the Sport springs for our car (part # 29910-2 http://www.hrsprings.com/application...lts/4/95/1998/ ) require 0.75" trimming of the front bumpstops per their instructions:

    http://www.hrsprings.com/tech/hr_technical_info.pdf

As the previous poster mentioned, the rib at the bottom of the bumpstop captures the dust shield, so that portion should be retained. I trimmed in the "V" valley and discarded the top portion.

Totally makes sense that you can only trim the top since the bottom needs to capture the dust shield.

    Thanks

Note that Koni voids you warranty if you omit (trimmed) Bump Stop and Dust Shield.

I let the bump stop float and not capture the dust shield. I didn't see a difference considering how close the strut comes to the bump stop anyway.
