Might as well ask ... and since we are at it, is there a site in the US that specializes in exterior and interior parts for my year ... or do I have to scout daily on ebay?
I'll let the far-more-expert folks say why, but I think the answer is "it might fit but won't work without a whole lot of other stuff that makes it useless to try." Or it doesn't work - I've never seen anyone do it.

As far as body/interior parts, it's a mixed bag. Some stuff is getting hard to find.
The throttle body spacing for the S38/M88 will not line up with the intake ports on your head. However, there is a company in Germany ,Dbilas Dynamic who makes adapters to do just this. Then you have to figure what afm will work properly, air box fitment, tps fitment and actuation and so on. Good news is, Dbilas produces a complete 6 throttle body converesion for the M30 (your car) cylinder head. It's pricey.

Great I will check, thank you. I ended up with a Champcar E24. I figured I might as well make it look descend and have fun with it at various racing events.
If you google around, There are after market individual throttle body stand alone fuel injection systems made for the E24. They actually look like Weber DCOE 45s.They come complete with harness and ECU Not cheap but if that is what you want it is the way to go as it is bolt on and not a cobbled up mess.

Search BMW M30 ITB's. There's plenty there and they look great.
