    Heater core 90 525 euro

Hello all I’ve been searching for a job procedure to replace the heater core in my 90 525 euro m20 non AC. I’ve looked at a few different posts now and it’s completely different than what I have goin on. Also I need to access blower as it’s vibrating. Thanks in advance!

All Heater Core's are located behind the dash and the procedure is relatively close to this DIY:

I recently did this and had some issues with the venting behind so be careful:

I am fairly certain the blower motor/blower are accessed through the firewall (wall behind the motor in the engine bay). DIY is similar to this:

Good luck - especially with the Heater Core!

Thank you very much I did see that thread and it got me most of the way. I’m into the venting now so wish me luck. There was a squirrel living in there at some point and he liked to chew ugh

By the way, you do realize that there are 4 different heaters for e34? Siemens, Valeo, Behr with AC and Behr without AC... Siemens and Valeo ones are different and the heater core comes out to the left side.

I don't believe different heater brands for the E34 change the actual location of the heater core in each car, unless I'm drastically missing something? Simply offering advice for a forum member. Surely they'd appreciate an expert's opinion such as yourself!

Thanks for your input and you are correct mine comes out the left side and lies horizontally. I just kept digging until I got to it but would do things differently if I did it again. So happy to get that sucker out, now to find a replacement......

Good to know as I was planning to take mine apart for an o ring refresh soon and I was going to rely on that write up. But mine's also a euro 1990 so I guess i'm in for a few suprises. Might wait until I have more than an afternoon spare to do the job. I might need different o rings then also I guess
