    Fuel pump running but no fuel at fuel rail

    Just recently swapped my manifold to the m50 on my 1996 328i using the m50manifold.com kit and when i started it it was running and idling good but after about 20 seconds of idling it would start to stumble and wouldnt rev past 2000 rpm, would stall when WOT, so took everything off checked vacuum lines and cleaned the ICV. When i tried to start it would crank and wouldnt get fuel, checked relays and pump is turning on when i turn key but still no fuel at fuel rail, im stumped at this point

    I bet the fuel pump has died. Also, check the fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator.

    Do you think it could be just coincidence? I drove the car into the garage to do swap and everything worked perfectly, will post results once i test fuel pressure at filter

    Check pressure before filter and pump is working 100% just cant get the cover off to test the other side.. Is there a shutoff or anything after the filter and before the rail?

    Just a Fuel pressure regulator.

    There is a Schrader valve on the injector rail, that is where you would check the pressure.

    Next would be to check all the fuel pump fuses.

    Lastly I hope you didn't put the fuel filter in backwards, there is an arrow that points in the direction, it should go to the front of the vehicle.

    Havent taken out fuel filter since it ran and theres no pressure or fuel at schrader valve, could the fpr stop fuel going to the rail and how can i test it?

    Only if it has internally collapsed, but that would be a first for me. I would then go backwards following the lines back towards the tank to see where the blockage is.

    Now this is with the understanding that the fuel pump is good, and you can hear it running when attempting to start.

    Took off the fuel line after the block that filter connects to and there was pressure, we put it back on amd had pressure at fuel rail but tried it a second time and there was no pressure

    Im an idiot, found the lines pinched between the manifold and bracket that bolts it to the block, all is well again
