Glad to be back in a bimmer.

It's been 13-14 years since I have posted. I will say quite a bit has changed, finished college, moved, started second career, bought a house, had a kid, got my 2nd most dream job. I have been driving an 02 Protege5 my wife and I purchased new. I had a couple years of not driving it but for the most part it was my car. I had an orient blue e39 (5sp) in 04 and got rid of it to help pay for school.

I knew I needed to replace the protege soon and I always wanted another bimmer but was looking for some other cars as well. I wasn't planning on purchasing a car quite yet, I just wanted to test drive a few newer cars to get a more reasonable frame of reference. An 02 Protege5 is not a comparable comparison...to anything more modern. I happened upon my new car on FB market place of all places before work. Took it for a test drive, and PPI and all checked out. Signed the papers this morning and am the proud owner of a 2013 328i 6sp M-Sport with 52k miles.

Its not the M car that I wanted but I was not comfortable going from no car payment in years to M car prices and maintenance.

As far as I can tell they are Type 152 but with a different center cap.
