Yeah, I know, this subject has probably been beaten to death here, but has ANYONE actually installed a set of SICKSPEED GAIJIN SERIES RACING SEATS?
This is the link to the seller on Ebay "https://www.ebay.com/itm/SICKSPEED-G...6/143021066508"
There are also two "driver" and "passenger" seat brackets that are sold seperately by them and are suposidly specific to the BMW Z3s.
I'm just about ready to pull the trigger on these, as new foam for both seats and new seat covers would be close to $2000. Both of the Sickspeed seats including purchasing the two mounting brackets would run just under $1000. However, if they don't fit or work out, I have to pay shipping to send them back.
If anyone has ANY experience with these seats installed in their BMW or especially in a E36 Z3 I'd really like to hear your thoughts.
Thanks in advance,
David
My indi refused to install off brand Chinese seats for safety reasons. while it’s not my primary concern on a weekend car that could be deciding factor for you. Also google for any forum reviews. Some brands fall apart very easy/quickly.

Thanks for the information, that's definitely something to consider. I found new OEM replacement for on E-bay, but you'd drop $1700 just for the foam and then still have to purchase the leather covers (most likely from "Leather Seats.com", so I have $3000 worth of seats in a $4-6000 car. I can't beleive no one has made after market products for this as it's a common problem with Z3s.
Thanks again,
David
