Throttle cables, do any other models cable fit?

The throttle cable on my 735 is split apart at the motor and needs to be replaced.
The E23 part seems to be limited availability and also about $60.
Wondering if an E32/34 B35 version will work.
    Thanks

I'm guessing no one has ever tried it. My general finding has been just about nothing fits an e23 except e23 parts. If you can get the correct cable for $60 I'd go for it. The throttle cable for my 86 Porsche 928S was $150 and had a 4 month lead time. If that makes you feel any better about the price, and I'm sure availability on BMW parts will be way better than that - few weeks if it has to come from Germany.

I replaced mine recently while working on my swap. Check your pedal box bushings too. Mine were shot.

I have been saying that for years, few listen to me. Pedal feel with fresh ones is excellent.
    I make E23 parts.
