E70 2007 3.0D No Drive, gear selector issue?

I start car and put in 'Drive' and immediatley get 'gear selector failure' on dash, despite instrument panel showing its in D. Then I get yellow hand brake warning lights. Car does not drive at all, forward or back. When I put it in park I can still move it! I can operate the electronic hand brake fine and hear it engaging etc. When on car doesn't move by pushing.

Plugged in Launch code reader, and shows GWS: Interlock E faulty, A82E, and GWS; Interlock system, interlock, one touch control, rear, faulty. Can't find anything about these codes on interweb though. Anyone had similar?

I would look for broken wires on the shifter
