323i with Single Exhaust

Hey guys,

Tried searching for this everywhere and can’t seem to find a definitive answer. I checked out a 85 323i the other day and noticed it had a single exhaust. I was under the impression these had dual exhausts. Were there any that were manufactured with single rather than dual?

Probably not stock. The muffler probably needed replacing and they put a more inexpensive one on

The 2.7L 325 eta has a single catalytic converter and single pipe “cat-back” exhaust.

Verify the E30 323 exhaust configuration using the last seven of the VIN in www.realoem.com, similar to this -
