    E34 Central locking

Hey, i have 94 525td. Yesterday my rear view mirror fell off, so i had to take the mirror plug out because i didnt had any glue to stick it back. After plugging in the plug my remote doesnt lock or unlock. The central locking works with key in doors, red led blinking but nothing happens. I tried resync method when you have to hold unlock and press lock 3 times, but nothing helps. Any ideas? 🙁

Does the mirror work, and would it be possible the connector is not installed right? Maybe this might help:

Your problem is very simple... the key lost it's programming.. you will need to re-initialize the key. this is how you do it:-

It may be hard to access but unplug and plug in the connectors at the DWA module under the rear seat (if that's what you have). This reset my 95 DWA alarm so that it was once again functional.

OK you need to reset the re-initialization block. this can be done from a computer that has an ADS plug with INPA software on it.... it happened to me and when I reset the block it worked again. but make sure that you program with driver door closed.
