I would not go that far, but I would call it disappointing. Maybe a heat gun would help? On the other hand, they probably still look better overall than a set of worn out seats. I am leaning towards buying aftermarket seats like recaro or sparco or maybe corbeau. The Vaders don’t fit my shoulders and the foam on mine is original at 140k miles and 20 years so the seat bottom is not that comfortable

When I buy different seats I will sell the Vaders. I don’t know when that will be. I look every now and then. Used Vaders sell regularly. Just look on Craigslist, eBay, Facebook, here.

I would advise against using them. I have a client that ordered from them (N5TT Light Gray Leather) and was hugely disappointed with the quality so he sold them off for a loss.

Thanks for the response. I'm having a hard time deciding what to do, I want as close to OEM leather and fit as possible, it seems like no one is really entirely happy with any of the options here. A leading local shop quoted me 3600 CDN just for the covers, plus install, I'm hoping to do it for a lot less than that.

Bimmerinteriors above seems to have gotten his shit together and is doing good work. I was not a fan of Johnny's work for a number a years, but that client I spoke of went with him after the vader factory skin set. I was actually impressed by the work. If you go that route, drive home that you want straight lines and the tucked edges need enough flap to tuck. The former was an issue with his earlier work and the latter is the only issue I noticed on the client's set.

Hey Brett, do you remember what part of the quality he was disappointed in? Was the texture of the leather or the workmanship? Both? Their Instagram makes their work look great. They quoted me $1300 for the front seats.
