I bought a 2014 x1. Tool kit in trunk is missing tools. What tools should be in the tool kit?

These days not much. Did you look for it some times it can be hidden in strange areas. Check your owners manual

you can see it in the ETK, use your VIN, for example I selected a 2014 BMW X1 28i E84 SAV USA N20 , under equipment you see car tools, set of lifting jack, mobility system, warning triangle/first aid kit/-cushion

Yep, I have the tool bag, with towing hinge and screwdriver. A pretty anemic "tool kit". I added a flat blade screwdriver, pliers, and a crescent wrench.

You know the BMW screwdriver is both a flathead and a phillips? Pull out the metal rod and flip it to the other side.
