Hi, hopefully im posting in the right spot. i'm wondering if its difficult to use the gt1 scanner and computer software. from my understanding when i replace my throttle body i will need to reset it? just wondering if this is something i can do myself. i have a 99 bmw 328i by the way. Thanks
You do not need to reset any throttle settings when you replace it. I assume this is an E46 with the m52tub28 engine.

yes its the e46 with the m52. well that would be awesome if I don't have to. I've read online that after you replace the throttle that you have to reset the learning adaption or something, and that his requires hooking up to a computer. even in my Haynes manual it mentions this, it says with the m54 engine you can possibly try the 10 second ignition thing and that may reset it but with the m52 you have to hook up diagnostics. thank you very much
Also, you can just use the simpler to set up INPA with k+dcan cable (+20-pin adapter if you want), if you really need to read codes and reset anything
