I know this is a very specific request but is anyone here running this combo? I'm thinking about making the investment in an RSC36 but wouldn't if it's going to sound terrible with an S54 I plan on swapping into my car this winter.
That’s like saying I’m buying a tux but not sure what socks to get. You should probably worry about diameter you’d need for S54 and custom fabbing headers back more than the sound.

The s54 needs bigger diameter than the s52
Shouldnt need much custom fab though. Find a stock e46 m3 section 1 and 2, that with some modifications will fit an e36, then you just have to figure out a muffler setup
I imagine it'd sound great. Love my Corsa

Supersprint makes an easy button bolt on setup for the S54 E36, at a couple price points.

S54/E36 V1 specific midpipe (with or without cats)

Ebay/Euro M3 headers
Supersprint or Euro E36 M3 midpipe (not S54 specific), might need some finagling to fit header flanges.
Either will then connect to the Euro E36 M3 rear muffler from Supersprint or any other exhaust shop. With some sawzall and welder, replace Euro E36 M3 muffler option with US M3 mufflers (Corsa, TSE, etc)
Or, for super easy mode,
Bimmerworld/VAC S54 header to 3" converter pipe + 3" AA or Bimmerworld race exhaust. No custom anything needed except earplugs.
Or, any E46 M3 header + Section 1 will fit perfectly, but you then need to custom fab a Section 2 / muffler combination. I've done that in a couple variants before saying screw it and buying the Supersprints-- check my thread.

The e46 M3 Corsa exhaust sounds like hot garbage, IMO. Check out the YouTube videos.
The RSC36 will probably sound different, since it's designed to work with a different-sounding engine, but may or may not be any better.
