Window Regulator

Hello all, getting ready to replace the speaker grills in my 2001 roadster. While I have the panels off I'd like to fix my driver's window at the same time. The driver's window goes about 3/4 of an inch too far if you don't stop it flush with the top frame. My question is am I going to be able to adjust that regulator to work proper or am I going to get inside there and find I need to replace the regulator. Any pointers , advice, or experiences would be highly appreciated. Cheers................

I have an 01 3.0 and when changing my drivers window regulator i noticed the little metal tab that stopped the regulator from moving up anymore was cracked allowing the window to move up slightly above where it should be. its jus a lil metal tab inside the door
