VIDEO INSIDE! Timing chain noise with my N20?

Posted this on the F30 forum, hoping to get some more feedback. I have a 2013 328i RWD 6MT. Listened to a few other videos online, I THINK my car is experiencing the timing chain issues covered by the extended warranty (which happens to be up December 2019 for me).

Should I bring this to the dealership? Shot this video earlier today.

Yes, I would book an appointment with them, and let them hear the noise.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. I have an appointment scheduled in a couple weeks. My only concern is that if its something different, I'll get hit with a $170 diagnostic fee. I'm hoping to get some more feedback because I'd hate to pay someone to diagnose a non-existent issue.

If you want to make sure, remove the belts and start the car. If the sound doesn't go away, well you know the drill.

P.S. If it is the chain, let's not drive the car to minimize any damage.

Update for anyone that cares to find out, the dealer DID verify that the timing components are making the noise and are being replaced under warranty Dropped the car off this morning, should be ready after the weekend.

Thank you! Service adviser told me that cost out of pocket would have been in the neighborhood of $4000 USD!!!!! Glad I sneaked that in before the warranty expired.

Yes, and that is not the only motor that BMW built with timing chain issues, the V-8's also have problems too.

The parts is not what cost, it is the 16+ hours of labor that needs to be put into the car for this to be done.
