M3 stutter (miss fire) in the rain. Need splash Shield?

My shop look at everything and everything seem to be in good order. I’m now looking into splash Shield for the under panel and I need good references for upgrade to keep the rain out. JDT design? UUC? Motion motorsport? Thanks.

Also if anyone having and same issues as I do please let me know what fixes did you do.

Make sure that is the actual issue first.

Do you have all of this including the rubber gasket in place?

Is the BMW M valve cover there over the coils as well?

If you are looking for an under panel, a lot of folks (including myself) run the Motion Motorsport panel.

First mod I ever did on my car. Got sick of contstantly tearing up the OEM plastic tray under there and having to pay for overpriced replacements. The aluminum panel is a bit fiddly to get to fit perfectly (especially if you're like me and you didn't align all the holes perfectly) but it works great and isn't going anywhere unless you tear the entire bumper off. I've taken it off a number of times for various other jobs requiring access down there, and it's not that bad to get back on. Just a lot of fasteners.

Get yourself a spray bottle, fill it with water, wait till dark, and starting of the engine front spray until something happens. When cars had plug wires, a bad wire would put on quite a show, almost as good as the aurora borealis.

Umm... Probably not a great idea with these cars.

    Not sure what you mean.

+1 on the Motion Motorsport panel however. Best unit on the market.

I picked up the radiator baffle too, money well spent if you track your car.

As ScotcH writes in #2, if you are not running the plastic engine cover on top of the valve cover, water can get into the coil holes and cause misfires.
