    Heater Valve

My heater valve seems to work however the hose toward the firewall/heater core side is hot at normal temperatures. It seems a bit of warm air still comes out of the vent. Is that just a normal heat transfer across the heater valve? Summertime is around the corner working to maximize my original ac system.

The valve will only stop flow. It wont stop the heat from being transferred in the antifreeze itself.

So the heater core still gets hot but not as hot, if that is the case I'll leave it alone.

Seems the hot air only comes in at speed and only thru the top 2 corner vents and the defrost vent I have the air duct control permanently set on arrow up. I guess its always been like this and never noticed. Here are my ac numbers, thinking about putting in another r-12 12oz can. IMG_0922.jpg temp was about 75F Humidity 45%
Does the air duct control effect my condition?

I put in a 12oz can in today and I"m back in AC. 2 years ago I put in 12oz can and it lasted 2 years so the old original system is good enough for me. The heat coming out of the vent is not that bad when i'm pulling 39F with the AC on.
