    Vanos ?

Getting ready to install the vanos back onto my M52TU, with new bearings, and seal kit, its my understanding, that their isn't an actual torque spec for the piston nut, just curious if a good tap on a wrench, in some soft jaws will do the trick?

Using an impact gun to take the piston nut off and put it back on is commonly done. A good hammer tap on the wrench would be a suitable alternative. Yes its rough and ready but it works.

There is only one thing more pleasurable than working on a Z3, that's driving it top down on a fine day.
