Hi! New to BMWs - recently bought an '08 328i with about 104K miles in what seems so far really good condition. One thing I've noticed is a rattling noise seeming to come from the passenger front side area only while braking. Not always, but most of the time. Don't feel anything odd in the brakes or wheel when this happens. Any ideas on where to start looking?
Thanks!
Hello and welcome to the forum! Does this happen during a certain speed, like above 50 mph and get's worse the faster you go? If so, it could likely be a tire balance issue. It's a simple fix at a tire shop. If there is any sort of vibration from braking, it could be a warped rotor. Let us know if you have any other questions.

Thank you for your replies to this. Sorry for not doing so sooner - I lost track of this question that I had posted.
Sorry to say I haven't gotten that far yet. Life got busy and it's flippin' hot this time of year here to be doing driveway car work so haven't been anxious enough to follow up. But, i'm thinking it's a suspension thing. I got hold of a repair manual and it sort of described what I'm finding, maybe the stabilizer bar or control arm bushings. Definitely going to check the brakes first, though.
