I have P1415, P0174, P0171 and I'm currently checking the connecting tubes to make sure they are not cracked or degraded, (131k 08 328i) I'm wondering what experience people have had with this. Right now it occasionally jumps from 600-1500 rpms other times its like a 100 rpm fluctuation at a stop, it doesn't feel like there is any issues when normally driving. could this be a faulty map sensor? I replaced the MAF. bank 1 O2 sensor was failing and that was replaced. along time ago I would get a weird whistling noise I would shut it off then turn it on and everything was fine. any thoughts? I keep chasing more and more faults that's starting to lead me to getting a new car but id rather not. any help would be greatly appreciated

Probably needs a new valve cover. If you don't find any other sources of vacuum leaks.
