P0025 bank 2 exhaust over retarded
I've had the car about a month. The right back is noisy so I replaced the o-rings on the Vanos solenoids. I would guess they were replaced when the rod bearings were done 10k ago. I took resistance readings and the right exhaust was lower than the others, 2.0 ohms. When I look at the test results with INPA I believe the same solenoid has high current. I don't read German so I'm guessing a bit because the scale in in mA.
I was at the track on Saturday and the car was running fine. Towards the end of the day I was getting the code just after hard braking off of the front straight. I would reset the failsafe by restarting the car. Now a few days later the car has been running fine with no codes. Has anyone based on this information replaced a single solenoid and solved a problem like this? I have quite a few BMW's and never throw parts unless I'm sure I have found the problem.
