I know I probably need some tunings or Dme reprogramming. Just need some pointers. I swap out my m54 525i for a 530i , with some eBay headers, with straight pipes and a muffler. Everything else is from the 525i. The O2 s are plugged in, but the car is running too rich. Need help. Thanks

Yes, only on WOT, I get a cloud of smoke also.
Injectors are the B30 or the B25 ones? Your maps would be all over the place. Yopu need to get tuned ASAP, that "cloud of smoke" could also be carbon deposits dislodging on hard detonation and that's gonna be a showstopper for the rings and your engine.

possibly just copy the injection time maps for the injectors. M54B25 uses different injectors so pulse times and all would be way off. I think (think) they operate at the same pressure so just copying the maps from a B30 ecu will do, and if you can log data with test0 see how's your adaptive & multiplicative figures to further refine it, or just scavenge all your donor parts (maf, and related engine peripherics) or get a remote tune for B30 swap, I'm confident there'd be plenty of guys that can fix you over a laptop with internet access and a K+D Can cable

I don't think they're allowed to offer services and products as per forum rules. I can mention that I've hired DUDMD who's a forum member here and he's been great. Imagine that he got me fized and I'm halfaway across the world so I imagine he can and will fix your issues. Fast, no BS no nonsense, reasonably priced. Doesn't get any better than that.

Thanks guys, and you are right. Not a fan of coding and stuff, more off a wrench guy. I have a buddy that is going to remap to a B30 software on Friday. Drove the car today, about 15 miles, no wot speed. Still smokes at the end of the drive. I am going to park it tell the updates is done.

Just took a quick look to see what I could find, and man it’s running really rich.
Spark plugs are covered in fuel , these are new plugs.
And these 02 live data are all over the place

Update, still haven’t been able to update my dme, I am running the car with b30 manifold, throttle body, air hose, and maf. With my b25 injectors. I also have headers. I get a little bit off black smoke after about 30 minutes off driving. Does anyone with headers have smoke issues?

It's like intermediate, not super easy but not rocket science either. At this point it might be wise to contact a remote tuner and see if he can write your ECU with the B30 maps with the setup you've assembled. I could recommend DUDMD (member here) who has tuned me remotely for applications I couldn't do myself.
