Tomorrow we leave for Sharkfest. Looks like there will be a good turnout from the east coast of E9's, E24's and E31's. We are going to go to Savannah and stop for the night, then on into Spartanburg on Thursday.
My neighbor was over and asked me with a smile when I was going to stop fiddling with the car! We all know they are never done!
Stay tuned - I will post pics when we get a chance.

Great day at Sharkfest. Over 80 cars on the lawn, including 16 E31's.

Nice turn out of E31's!
Great photos, Roger.........
We got home last night after the fun drive down I-95 with a trailer on a Sunday for 9 hours !!!
On our drive down we were about 20 miles away - I started to notice a vibration. Marcia then said "what is that smoke" and I looked out the side mirror to see white smoke pouring out the right side of the trailer - then saw the tire "launch" about 15 feet in the air heading into the woods off of I-26! We were able to limp to the nearest exit (the trailer was a 4-tire trailer), where we contacted U-Haul. They came out and put on a new tire and rim, checked all the remaining tires, and we were on our way in less than an hour.
We all had a great time at Sharkfest. Kai and his gang put on a wonderful event. We met some new 8 owners, and the E31 was very well represented on the lawn and hill for the show. We had 16 E31's displayed among the 80+ cars present. Chamber-of-Commerce weather with lots of sun and not a drop of rain.
Several participants went out and drove the Michelin test track and had fun on Friday.
Saturday was the display and car show. The weekend was also Spring Fling in Spartanburg just a couple of blocks from the Sharkfest show, so we had many stroll through and look at the cars. The farthest attendee was from Tokyo, Japan!
More to come as I catch up!

you forgot to mention that your car was the star of the show. many nice cars were there, but yours blew minds.
Roger , i don't understand here something... does your E31 has a towing hook ? or was the car on the trailor ... and why ?
It was on a trailer. I had only been able to put about 10 miles on the car since finishing it a couple of weeks ago, so we decided to trailer it. I would not feel comfortable driving 520 miles one way without having had an opportunity to do a shakedown cruise.

Thanks. There were lots of beautiful E9's, E24's and E31's there. We were very honored and humbled by the awards, especially with all the wonderful cars there.

OK , thanks Roger... must have been very annoying trailing a so comfy cruiser !
Roger not only didn't comment on the 'reception' of his car, you all should understand that he and Marsha had to go home in separate vehicles. He drove the tow vehicle with the CSi on the trailer (with the new tire). Meantime, Marsha followed in a rental U-Haul 26 ft bed box truck. The rear of the truck was FILLED with the trophies and hardware that Roger's car received at the 2019 Southeast Sharkfest Concours!!
Congratulations Roger - a beautiful car (understated adjective), and fabulous effort to both obtain it, then rebuild it to perfection. Seriously, I don't think ANYONE on this forum will ever see a more perfect (or more spectacular) e31 than this CSi that Roger has restored.
