Last week while we were on vacation I saw this car parked behind a gas station in Utah somewhere between Capitol Reef and Arches National Park.
What is the make and where was it produced?

48 views and no guesses??
Make that 55 views and I'm usually pretty good on this stuff. Not great, but pretty good. This is an odd one, the roof in particular is unusual. I'm guessing either German or from behind the Iron Curtain.
I'm over those roads pretty much every year and I've never seen it. Hwy 24 maybe?

No idea. I'm not into anything that old (E28 is about as old as I'd want to go).

It’s a ‘57 or ‘58 Goliath Hansa 1100 from the Fatherland. Can’t believe you found one sitting at the back of a gas station in Utah.

I will guess a Vauxhall, but Snotty sounds fairly confident in his answer. Not sure where they're made - France or Germany maybe.

Looks like snotty nailed this one! Nice job. That is a rare car.
Jim, sounds like your hitting the same type trip I did with my family last year. We stayed in Torrey then headed to Moab. Pretty amazing roads in that area! I hope you got one of those homemade pies at that old place near the Capital Reef Visitors Center in Fruita.

That's pretty cool that you knew what it was.
I figured it out by googling 50's British cars and then 50's German cars.

The chassis must always be regarded as a means to an end and never as an end itself
That's Yurgly!
Waters17 PM'ed me minutes after I posted the pic with the correct answer, he's the first one to guess correctly.
Snotty, you get runner up.
The car was at a Shell gas station in Hanksville on Rt24. I photoshopped out the name on the hood.
Yes weird roof design.
Schitzo, an LS would make this a great sleeper.
Some vacation pics for those of you that never leave the town you live in......

Philly, we also stayed in Torrey this trip and on our last west coast trip. We missed the pie store.
Rt 12 from Bryce was a great drive too.
We hiked the Grand Canyon and many other parks, 1700 miles in 7 days.

I'd like to see you on top of that arch!
Nice pictures!
Alex, I would too but getting close to it isn't allowed as a lot of the lower middle and right side fell off a few years ago.
I did walk over this one.
