Hi, just picked up a 1992 730. When i had a look at the car first, everything was ok except that the hazards flashed. Googled this and found out the Crash control module is a common failure, witch it was in this case as well.
Problem is today when i picked it up, basicly everything didnt work.. Headlights, front fog lights, heated seats, power windows, sunroof and power mirrors. Pulled the back seat where the fuse box is, and i se this burned out fuse holder, that i think is for the heated rear window
Info in dash as well: Brake light, elektrik and something with handbook
Can somebody help me wrap my head around this problem? I did pull the crash module before connecting battery, and tried while running to put it back in.
Also there is 3 plugs together in a bundle that is not connected to anything, what is this?

That is unfortunately often the case https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/s...rear-seat-pics
Best is you get a used rear fuse box and install it. Layout http://bmwe32.masscom.net/johan/elec.../rearseat.html
use the diagrams in the ETM http://shark.armchair.mb.ca/~dave/BMW/e32/
also the fusible links have to be check under the rear seats, one goes to the front to the e-box and controls the Motronic etc, the other one goes from battery to the other side rear seat and powers all electr. under rear seat = central chassis electronics
http://www.bimmerboard.com/forums/posts/377728/
The 3 not connected plugs are probably not needed, they are usually for optional extras, even when not installed, for example for electric rear headrests, electric rear seat heating etc pp
Pull the carpet around the rear fuse box, there are plenty of wire looms and probably more damaged

Shogun tricks and tips for the E32 series are HERE!
Hi Shogun, thank you for such useful info. I wonder if the general problem could be in the RM under back seat? If we look away from the rear window heater fuse. Lifted up the fusebox and had a look under it and couldnt se anything except the strippet two wires on the photo. I also need to say that the previous owner had the windows OPEN, and said he drained some water from under the seat... No corrosion from under the plugs
Today after i had it indoors drying up, when i connected the battery it sounded like the wiper motor ran constantly, even thogh wipers did not move.. The buzzing noise did not go away unless battery got disconnected. Seems like more problems keeps coming my way.. Any info on this? Cant say it is the wiper motor for sure, but it was the only thing i could see from where the sound came from
Again, thanks alot!
Is it the same fusebox from every e32? Year and model
Wondering if it is the RM that is the problem. I can only se problems with fuse for rear heated window, nothing else on the back or pins

The buzzing from the wiper motor is the wiper pressure relay, which also sits in the rear fuse box, a large relay with ADM = Anpress Druck Modul. Either that is also damaged or the wiper pressure motor gear is stuck and that drains the battery. I have disassembled the wiper pressure system and cleaned and greased it, even installed a new small gear which someone made for me. Pics on my website below. But you can also just remove the ADM relay, repair also shown here http://bmwe32.masscom.net/dutch740/wipertensioner.htm
"Same fuse box from every E32 year and model?" yes, same design, just depending on what is installed some fuses might be missing, but you can use any fuse box from an E32, maybe even from am E34. You can also unclip each fuse or relay socket from the donor car and replace only the damaged parts. Use the ETM I posted above, that is for US E32, so maybe yours is slightly different in some parts, like the ADM, which not all US E32 have.
How to disassemble clips and connectors you can download here http://www.e38.org/e32/ see: BMW breakout boxes and connectors (PDF)
To make a pinout tool, easiest is to use an old antenna and a knitting needle to push the pin out, here my tool
